Bowne & Co., Stationers at the South Street Seaport Museum in New York frequently produces beautiful letterpress keepsakes. This one from 1989, "Nineteenth Century Job Printing Display - The Poster" is a delightful little guide to the dos and don'ts. Using their enviable stock of metal types, 200 copies were printed on a Vandercook Universal I. the text was adapted from "The Letter-Preess Printer: A Complete Guide to the Art of Printing; Containing Practical Instructions for Learners at Case, Press and Machine" (London, 1881).

Nashville's Fashion Week - Alphachimp Style!

All week, we have watched a literal parade of models and fashionistas walk up and down the sidewalk at Marathon Village, our studio's home in Nashville.

So this Friday, in honor of Nashville Fashion Week 2012, we organized our own catwalk.

I would like to mention that there was plenty of competition, but it was i who's outfit was photographed in public later that day.

Granted, it was not the international paparazzi, but the cashier at our local eatery Gabby's Burgers & Fries who motioned for Diane to move out of the way and said:

"Honey! I have NEVER seen a snake skin shirt. I need to get me a picture."
